The Blood-Stained Stars

Introduction

This is the first of EVE's Epic Mission Arcs and as such is designed for less experienced players in order to introduce some of the key concepts of missions and they various types of missions available. More experienced players may be disappointed with the rewards offered, especially if they are used to running level 4 and 5 missions.

A couple of things to note regarding this arc:

  • None of the missions in the arc are restricted by ship type and they can be completed in any vessel.
  • No standings with the Sisters of EVE are required to start this arc.
  • The missions in this arc do not affect any factional standings directly, though each mission will count towards receiving a Storyline Mission from the Sisters of EVE, which will affect standings normally.
  • At the time of writing no issues with faction standings were discovered, neither should there be any issues arising from a players participation in Factional Warfare. Confirmation required
  • Your personal rating with each race however WILL affect your ability to travel safely throughout the areas occupied by all four races. Anyone who has a rating below -5 with any race will get shot at in their individually controlled space.
  • There is a forum thread available for discussion of these guides.
Please note: This guide should not be considered to be complete, there are gaps, omissions and some information which was not noted at the time that the missions were done. This being a wiki though allows such information to be added by anyone, Knock yourself out XD

Chapter 4: Queens and Drones

Please note: Branch Point. This is the point at which the arc branches, you are given the choice between Tracking and Scanning but it is not made clear in the agent dialogue which mission is which.

Chapter 5: Tracking The Queen (Tracking Branch)

Chapter 5: Bag of Blood (Scanning Branch)

Please note: Both branches converge at this point and the arc continues in a single chain from here.

Chapter 6: Shifting Foundations

Chapter 7: A Breach of Trust

Chapter 8: Closing In

Please note: Branch Point: This is the second and final branch point of this arc and lets you select the faction that you'll be allied with for the last couple of missions. As before the author could only follow one branch so any information regarding the other branches can be entered at a later date. It would seem however that this branch point only determines the faction of the agent you get the next couple of missions from and the allied ships you encounter in the penultimate mission and not the actual missions themselves

Dal Segno al Fine is the last mission in this chain and completing it completes the arc.
