In endeavoring to catalog all known notable places throughout the cluster, Mark quickly grew intrigued with the history of the cluster, dating back to the Dark Ages through the modern era. As a byproduct of his research, he can be regarded something of an expert of most major events, as long, of course, as they're evidenced by a landmark. He's very interested as well in learning how the different events of New Eden fit together in the larger tapestry of the Cluster.
