Alder Brenean is a personal aide to Aritcio Kor-Azor. He got his position as an aide after he told Aritcio that his faith did not distinguish between the people, his lord, and God. He accompanied Aritcio on a mission to a planet in the Kor-Azor that was suffering from the harsh rule of a planetary governor.

While there, he witnessed Aritcio suffering from severe burns and other injures. The next morning, he heard a news report that a fire had broken out nearby, which had been fought by volunteers. He also witnessed the planetary governor's show of disrespect to Aritcio by not having any guards present during their meeting. In addition, the governor spoke with a highly insulting tone.

Following the meeting, Aritcio asked Alder to leave the room. Alder did and, moments later, heard the screams of the governor. Aritcio emerged with a bloodied Khumaak shortly after they stopped. The next day, news reported that the governor's vehicle had crashed into the ocean before he had ever met with Aritcio.[1]
