General Info

Smartbombs radiate an omnidirectional pulse from the ship that causes damage to surrounding vessels. They have an area of effect in which every object, hostile or otherwise, will be hit. Because of that, using them in high security systems is not advised, as hitting almost anyone will result in concord intervention. They are however widely used by suicide gankers, who have as an objective being able to eliminate their targets before they are eliminated by concord, to get another ship and get whatever contents they were looking for. Obviously, in fleets smartbombs are almost useless. This restricts sane use to almost only solo operations: smartbombs can turn out to be very useful in eliminating orbiting drones.
