This module is needed for salvaging wrecks. It has a salvage range of 6,000m and gives a 7% chance per level to salvage a wreck.

Note that in order to salvage all types of wrecks, having just a salvager and the skill Salvaging I will not be enough. Wrecks of T2 ships are an example, you will need at least Salvaging III else you will receive a notification telling you it is too difficult. It is the same with some special types of NPCs such as overseers or officers. Sleeper are also more difficult to salvage than more classic NPC rats.
