Serpentis Military Complex is one of the harder 0.0 Serpentis exploration complexes, found in regions inhabited by Serpentis pirates.

Room 1

Upon entering the first room you will immediately be aggressed by the entire room. This room consists of 12 Serpentis Tower Sentries, 5 Elite frigates, 2 Battlecruisers, and 6 Battleships.

The closest enemies upon warp-in will be the frigates, 2 of which scramble/web (the Coreli Guardian Agents), while the other 3 will sensor damp. The sentries and the Core Admirals deal a lot of damage from range, but if you get within 25-30km the Core Admirals can barely hit you.

Room 2

The second area of this complex is quite difficult and deals A LOT of damage and heavy sensor dampening. Make sure you have a very good tank for this and stay out of web range.

Upon warping in to the 2nd room you will see 4 Elite frigates, 3 Elite Cruisers, 5 Battleships, and a Slick-Silvers Cruise Missile Battery.

DON'T BE FOOLED however, as this area will launch wave after wave of new spawns in quick succession, all of which will aggress you.

In total, there are about 20 Elite Frigates, 8 Elite Cruisers, 4 destroyers, and 20 Battleships, and 1 Slick-Silverse Cruise Missile Battery.

The frigates are a mix of sensor dampeners and web/scramblers. The cruisers all sensor dampen also. The Battleships are half long-range (Core Grand Admirals) and half close-range (Core Lord Admirals).

Escalation - "Colony Under Fire"

Standard bunch of ships on a gate. Shoot the faction BS for a chance of an escalation.

Escalation - "Colony Under Fire" 2

"From the wreckage of this ship, you get info on where it is from, it is another Serpentis station. Well, more an outpost than a station perhaps, but it is a pure military outfit, not a regular colony. "

Big old room with around 10 BS and 10 BC. One end has a tower, the other has a station.

Shoot the station and you get a face full of 8 cruise missile batteries, with a few BS and dampening cruisers thrown in for good measure. One of the BS will be a faction ship. Shoot it for the escalation to continue.

Escalation - "Colony Under Fire" 3

"Again you let your scanners comb the remains of the station and the ships, looking for clues on this alleged raid, and before long you are holding a log listing the second rally spot and as far as you can see, the raiding parties have already departed from here and two other stations and are supposed to convene within the hour. If one of the raiding parties was supposed to come from the Serpentis station you destroyed originally, you have already managed to diminish their forces somewhat. "

warp in here is similar to the first escalation. A bunch of ships including a faction spawn. Shoot the faction spawn, ignore the gate, pay for an escallation.

Escalation - "Colony Under Fire" 4

"A fixed guidance beacon sitting here all alone.. you examine the thing and discover its guidance system points to a place not too far away. Perhaps that is the space trucker station? In any case, that is the only clue you have to follow, if the pirates have ever been here, they have gone already. "

As you warp to the bookmark you get the message...

"A peaceful station, where transport ships get refitted and refuelled. Almost too peaceful... "

On warp in you see 4 truckers who vanish sharpish. they must be aware of the mega-spawn of Serpentis nasties on their way to say hello. Get ready to encounter several waves of ships, culminating in the field being filled with 20+ BS with assorted additional frigs, cruisers and BCs, all intent on melting your face while dampening you down so hard you'll have trouble targeting your own lips.

If you manage to survive this wrongness you may see a Serpentis Relay Commander hiding amongst the mix. Shoot this fellow and...

You get another spawn with another 8 BS and another Relay Commander. Grrr. Oh yeah, and some webbing and scramming frigs to boot.

OK, so kill THAT commander and Black Caesar appears with a bunch of webbing frigs, a bunch of dampening cruisers, and some more BS.

Kill Black Caesar (who incidentally has a rude rate of armor repair but makes up for it with a 24 mil bounty), laugh at his wreck, make off with the goodies. Core A-Type if you are lucky.
