Novus Aevum alliance was formed by The Greater Good back on the 25th of October 2007, Novus Aevum alliance was formed by our current executor Laice as an alliance full of like minded people.

Currently the alliance is industrial based with goals which will aid the growth and expansion of the alliance. We are looking to actively recruit all types corps and players who are interested in joining a group of well skilled and interesting pod pilots who wish to branch out into 0.0

General Information

Novus Aevum is currently based in the Derelik Region and operates in both Hi-Sec and Low-Sec of the surrounding area with intentions of expanding to 0.0 space in the near future. Largely industrial based Novus Aevum is increasing its military operations to protect its assets which were underthreat in recent wars. Its killboard can be viewed here: http://novusaevum.griefwatch.net/

The Phoenix War

On Wednesday 19th November 2008 The Phoenix Mercenaries declared war on Mercantile Investments (MCIV) which operated in The Forge region. (MCIV) was primarily a Hi-Sec industrial corp with limited PvP experience and from the outbreak of hostilities suffered heavy losses. Alliance members soon arrived to protect (MCIV) but returned home when The Phoenix Mercenaries began attacking alliance assets in Derelik.

Before the war (MCIV) embarked on a rapid member expansion reaching over 100 members. This was a major contributing factor as it was discovered late in the war several of these new recruits were infact spies of The Phoenix Mercenaries, this advantage proved costly to (MCIV).

(MCIV) decided to use its vast resources to hire a mercenary corporation which hounded The Phoenix Mercenaries and prevented them from attacking Novus Aevum assets allowing relative peace to return and normal buisness to resume. This mercenary corp would eventually force The Phoenix Mercenaries to end the war with Novus Aevum but not before major events would take place.

(MCIV) began a full reconstruction of its internal affairs in the attempt to remove the spies. It also began preperations to move the corp to Derelik to be closer to the alliance with several loyal members moving to Derelik as advanced scouts. Once it was believed the spies had been removed during the purge information was exchanged more openly, ofcourse this proved disastrous as (MCIV) failed to spot a greater danger, a turncoat. This resulted in more heavy losses for (MCIV) before the turncoat was expelled. Many of its members had grown unhappy and with the apparnt loss of its CEO the majority moved on to do other things or join the ranks of other corps within Novus Aevum while (MCIV) aborted its attempt to move to Derelik.

However while the war was costly and showed the security flaws Novus Aevum had, the aftermath has seen greater internal alliance loyalty and has allowed the alliance to learn from its mistakes and is becoming stronger by the day.

The Quiet Times

At the end of June 2010, the major players inside the corporations and alliance decided that they wanted to see a different side of EvE. One by one players moved to various null sec Alliances, with the hope that one day we might be able to bring the group back together.

The Novus Aevum Alliance remains in a holding corp, in stasis, owned by Laice.
