"Custodis ab Auctorita Amarr"

IONSTAR (ISC) is a multi-racial Amarrian Loyalist corporation, and is currently a part of the Curatores Veritatis Alliance. IONSTAR was founded early in EVE's history by a group of European pilots who believed that trust, loyalty, teamwork and an open communication policy were cornerstones to a successful corporation. The corp continues to thrive, and still follows these traditions today. IONSTAR has a strong industrial backbone, balanced by experienced PvP pilots as well as mission runners, explorers, and miners.

IONSTAR has a long history within the EVE universe, and while its members may not be the most famous pilots in the galaxy, they are some of the hardiest, and most loyal players in the game.

One of the crown jewels in the record books for ISC was the acquisition and "return" of the first publicly owned Apocalypse Imperial Issue in the game. This coveted and very valuable (30 Billion ISK at last count) ship was won by a member of IONSTAR in a 2003 BIG lottery drawing. It was decided that such a noble ship was too rare and valuable to be kept or sold for personal profit. In an effort to honor the Emperor, and as a token of loyalty, it was decided the ship would be returned free and clear to the Amarr Empire, where it truly belonged.

This intent was broadcast on GalNet, and was turned into a public event by GM's. At the time, it was arguably the largest public event in EVE history, with hundreds of pod pilots crowding (and sometimes crashing) the systems that lined the route the ship and its convoy of pilot escorts would take to Amarr.
