Standards for this article

Several titans on this list are either nonexistent, or are misleading. Fact-checking this sort of thing could be a nightmare... I'm not sure how to handle it. My one idea is to lock the page, and have the actual submissions go here on the talk page. All submissions would require killboard links, and a template would be put on the main article giving instructions to this effect. Any other ideas? --ISD Salpsan 21:56, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Ya essentially the forum thread worked by someone providing pics or api-killboard. Generally 2 independent sources needed to make change would be fine. I wasnt sure if the Dead titans should be included into the actual article. Those have been tracked also obviously. --Jason Edwards 21:34, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Chribba's Titan

Not sure if it's on TQ.--Jason Edwards 09:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Exploding Fist

It was on TQ

I'm not sure if it still is.--Jason Edwards 09:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Non-alliance titans

Spangie [AMT] <ev0ke> Leviathan

  • Can be moved out of non-alliance.

Trex Y [VI] Avatar (Oort's alt)

viper zulu [NIFC] <TV-MA> Erebus

  • Just a holding corp-alliance*

Ottar [LETA] <R.O.L> - Erebus

  • I think this is a real corp- still non-alliance*

Feigling [CPT] Erebus --Jason Edwards 09:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

PS I'm not confirming any of these titans even exist. They are on the list. So just updating their corps.--Jason Edwards 09:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I think the big thing you have to consider is changing the title to known titan pilots. Several of these pilots I know are NOT in titans at the moment, and use holding chars on occasion.

As for validity, you have to decide whether to take people's word in the hopes of allowing people to use the resource most effectively, or whether you're using the page as a confirmation only. A lot of 0.0 players will use this to add to their address books list of titans (luckily most titan pilots are woefully inactive).

Using a holding char or eve a personal password pos with cap maint. It doesnt matter. They are for the most part trying to track what alliance has how many. The system isnt perfect but it's also why we want a killboard or image for proof.--Jason Edwards 09:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Aesthetic changes

I've made a couple aesthetic changes to the list, should be a lot more readable now. Considering some sort of table layout still. Daquaris 13:55, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I like it. --Jason Edwards 14:02, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Trying to cook up a better layout for this... It's inconsistent at best, and, downright confusing at worst at the moment. A few ideas:

  1. Jin Roh [WR3CK] <Goodfellas> Avatar (Possibly is now Sacul's Alt)

Or, we could use tables:

Template:Contributor name:Daquaris/KT Example1

Not sure if we should link to the pilots contributor name, but, I do think we should link the corp and alliance consistently, even if we have no page on the corp / alliance today, one will likely be written soon :) Opinions? Alternative ideas? Daquaris 14:23, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Inaccurate Entry

Looks like Aeon Yakati sold his Titan.
