Guristas Military Complex is one of the harder 0.0 security space exploration complex found in areas of space inhabited by the Guristas.

Room1

Initial Spawn in the first area comprises 12 Battleship class and 12 Cruiser class npcs. After this initial wave has been dealt with you need to attack the EM Force-field surrounding the acceleration gate.

Warning: As soon as you destroy the EM Forcefield surrounding the Acceleration gate, a Thermal Smartbomb attack will be triggered. The smartbomb will do 6000 points of Thermal damage. This smartbomb can be avoided by attacking the EM Forcefield over 60km away.

"Message > The destruction of the force-field has triggered a powerful thermal reaction, damaging most ships in the vicinity."

The next step in this exploration site is to gain access to the second room.

"This gate is locked! The Guristas Diamond Tag must be retrieved and stored in your cargo hold when you activate it for it to be unlocked. The question that remains is, who (or what) is the gatekeeper?"

To achieve this objective, you will have to locate the Control Tower in this area and destory it. This structure will not go down without defending itself and as you attack, a second wave of defenders will spawn.

"Message > A multitude of ships have undocked to defend the control tower."

"Message > Control Tower Operator: Get out there you lazy sods and defend the control tower! We'll all die if you don't do something, fast!"

This 2nd wave consists of 6 Dire Frigate and 6 Battleship class npcs. Once this second wave has been dealt with, you may resume completing the destruction of the Control Tower to gain access to the acceleration gate leading to the second room. Tip: If you can tank full aggro from this wave, simply ignore the attackers and finish off the Control Tower and use the gate.

"Message > As the Control Tower is destroyed, the device keeping the nearby acceleration gate malfunctions. The gate appears to be open now."

Room2

The Initial wave in this area consists of 6 Dire Frigate class; 3 Cruiser class; 4 Guristas Sentry; and 9 Battleship class npcs. Once this initial wave has been destoyed focus your attack on the Guristas Deep Space Stronghold.

"Message > In response to attack, the Guristas Stronghold has activated its self defense mechanism. All power is temporarily used to charge a massive smartbomb, which detonates a powerful EM blast-wave, affecting all enemy ships in a large radius."

Warning: Each Player that attacks the Guristas Deep Space Stronghold causes the structure to defend itself with a EM based smartbomb attack! The smartbomb will do 6000 points of EM damage. This EM based smartbomb will not damage any drones you have deployed. Unlike the first smartbomb, this damage cannot be negated by remaining outside a 60 kilometer radius.

"Message > In a last-ditch attempt to save the station, it's reserve fighters are sent out to do battle"

When the structure goes into thirty percent hull damage it will launch its remaining fighters to defend itself. This wave comprises: 4 Dire Frigate class; 3 Dire Cruiser class; 5 Battleship class; and possibly 1 Dread Guristas Battleship class npcs. Dire Pithi Imputor Frigates both web and scramble so eliminating these first would be a good idea.

Please note: Destroying the DG Battleship (if it spawns) will either trigger an escalation or lead to a dead end. This is true for all parts Pirate's Path below as well.

To finish the area, simply destroy this second wave and resume destroying the Guristas Deep Space Stronghold. Upon its destruction you will either recieve no message - meaning that this exploration site has not escalated; or you recieve a message and directions to the next area in the exploration escalation called Pirate's Path.

Tip: Blitzing through this area is possible (if you can tank full room aggro) by focusing on the destruction of key targets (i.e. DG Battleship or Deep Space Stronghold) and ignoring the rest of the ships.

Pirate's Path Part 1

"Going through the logs from one of the command ships you blasted, you come across a recent memo containing a draft for a plan where forces from this Military Complex and another similar to this one were to gang up and raid a space trucker station somewhere in the region. Where this space trucker station is, is not included in the logs, but the location of the rally point is there. It is supposed to be by a small asteroid belt, not too far away."

The first area of this escaltion comprises 3 Battleship class; 4 Crusier class; and possibly 1 Dread Guristas Battleship class npcs. After these have been dealt with use the acceleration gate into the second area. This second area is occupied by a Guristas Terrorist Scout, which asks for a password, simply destroy this ship.

"Message > Guristas Terrorist Scout: Send me the secret password NOW. I'm warning you ..."

Upon the destruction of the vessel, the escalation will either finish or you will recieve information directing you to the stage in this escalating encounter.

Pirate's Path Part 2

"From the wreckage of this ship, you get info on where it is from, it is another Guristas station. Well, more an outpost than a station perhaps, but it is a pure military outfit, not a regular colony."

File:Pirates path part2.jpg

The Initial wave in this area comprises 3 Frigate class and 4 Battleship class npcs. Upon their destruction attack the station. The station will take measures to defend itself.

"Message > Multiple ships have undocked to defend the station, which has also deployed 8 cruise missile batteries in self defense."

This wave, along with the 8 cruise Missile batteries, consists of; 6 Dire Frigate class; 5 Battleship class; and possibly a Dread Guristas Battleship npcs.

After finishing off this wave of attack, proceed to destroy the Terrorist Raid Centre. The destruction of the Terrorist Raid Centre will either trigger a new location in the escaltion chain, or bring it to a dead end.

Pirate's Path Part 3

"Again you let your scanners comb the remains of the station and the ships, looking for clues on this alleged raid, and before long you are holding a log listing the second rally spot and as far as you can see, the raiding parties have already departed from here and two other stations and are supposed to convene within the hour. If one of the raiding parties was supposed to come from the Guristas station you destroyed originally, you have already managed to diminish their forces somewhat. "

On initial warp in, there's an acceleration gate, 3 frigates, 5 BC's, 2 elite cruisers, 4 Battleships, and a possible faction spawn.

Room 1

There will only be a Guidance Beacon, approach it for the next escalation.

Pirate's Path Part 4

"A fixed guidance beacon sitting here all alone.. you examine the thing and discover its guidance system points to a place not too far away. Perhaps that is the space trucker station? In any case, that is the only clue you have to follow, if the pirates have ever been here, they have gone already."

"Space Trucker Convoy: To all nearby ships, I think we might have trouble. Lets go back through the gate before something happens!"

Upon warpin, 1 group of Guristas will spawn, and in the next few minutes several more groups will spawn. These initial spawns are enumerated below:

File:Haruo.jpg

  • 4x Pith Massacrer
  • 4x Pith Usurper
  • 3x Pith Usurper, 2x Dire Pithum Mortifier
  • 2x Pith Usurper, 4x Pithatis Death Dealer
  • 3x Dire Pithum Killer, 2x Pith Massacrer, 1x Guristas Relay Commander
  • 3x Pithior Terrorist, 3x Dire Pithum Despoiler, 3x Dire Pithum Arrogator

Please note that Dire Pithum Killer and Dire Pithum Despoilers jam, while Dire Pithum Arrogators warp-scramble. Upon killing the Guristas Relay Commander, a new spawn will come with the following ships:

  • 3x Dire Pithum Nullifier, 7x Pith Massacrer, Guristas Relay Commander

Likewise, the Nullifiers jam and killing the Guristas Relay Commander will lead to the final Guristas spawn. This final spawn includes:

  • 6x Haruo's Genin (Dire Pithi Invader/Infiltrator)
  • 6x Haruo's Chunin (Dire Pithum Annihilator/Nullifier)
  • 6x Haruo's Jonin (Pith Usurper)
  • 1x Haruo Wako

Haruo Wako has a very VERY tough tank, and rarely drops Corpus A-Type modules , but usually drops faction modules.

This final stage gives brutal DPS and you will need a good tank to beat it.

Additionally, shooting the stargate at any time will spawn many Mercenary NPC's, but this is not required. This spawn includes 8x Mercenary Wingman (web/scram), and 10x Mercenary Overlord, both of which are renamed as "Space Trucker"s.
