I am a lowly wiki editor, 2008 EVE player and (extremely) amateur software tool developer.
EVE Career
I have played in Empire and 0.0, with a few excursions into low-sec. I am essentially a carebear, as I enjoy seeing my wallet flash, my inventions succeed and my products piled high in my hangar. But I have also come to appreciate PVP, particularly in small groups (though nothing compares to seeing 200+ battleships doing... well, anything!).
My main, Alden Balveda, has an semi-role-playing-style info page here, although I don't actually RP in game...
My second character is Tek Nielsen. He is a shy Caldari inventor so he doesn't have an info page (yet).

IRL, I am a 3rd year Engineering undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, UK. I study mainly electronic engineering (RF, digital, power) and information engineering (control systems, digital filters, communications etc.).
I also write a little bit of software in Python and C/C++. I have written a few small Python scripts to do mundane, but useful, things. I would like to one day write an app such that I can abandon Excel altogether...
