Trade is a lucrative method for making money in EVE. As in the real world, traders make money through purchasing goods at lower prices than they sell them.
One technique used to make money in trade goods is to purchase goods from one system and sell them to NPC corporations. All NPC corporations have buyers at specific starbases who will buy certain goods for a stated price. The information for where, what, and how much, can be found in the Trade tab on an NPC corporation information window.
A trader can check information on various corporations, see what items they are buying and at what rate, collect those items and than travel to the corporation's station identified in the Trade tab, and sell it to the NPCs for a predictable level of profit.
Trading becomes more lucrative when a player uses an industrial craft to move goods due to the cargo capacity of the ship.
