The chance of a successful salvage (not necessarily providing any salvage) with a tech 2 Salvager and Salvaging level 5: 0.07*1.25 = 0.0875 ~ 8.75%
The chance of a successful salvage with a tech 1 Salvager and Salvaging level 5: 0.05*1.25 = 0.0625 ~ 6.25%
Or more traditionally; the chance of a successful salvage with a tech 1 Salvager and Salvaging level 4: 0.05*1.2 = 0.06 ~ 6%
