Dara Cothrom [DACO] was born after Daisho Sydicate was pushed out of Geminate by KIA. The two founding corporations were 4 wing [LYNX] and Skill Level Six [SL6] during the time they were helping Penumbra Alliance [SHADE] remove Imorral Dragons [IMDRG] out of Cloud Ring.
Initially DACO were only going to hold XZH-4X and SHADE holding G8AD-C and 9-4RP2, however G8 and 9-4 were bought eventually from SHADE by DACO. This gave DACO control of all the stations in Cloud Ring.
Cry Havoc [CH] and Huzzah Federation [HF] late in 2008 started to make incursions into Cloud Ring, however after a few skirmishes and POS's being reinforced the POS exploit that was discovered that affected both of these Alliances stopped this.
In the Spring of 2009 the Hex Coalition, which was made up of six alliances who were based out of Outer Ring and Syndicate, made a move for control of Cloud Ring. The Campaign started by HEX attacking one of DACO's blues, Stainless St33l [440 C], in W-4NUU and 6-4V20. With the help of SHADE (later Cry Havoc when Shade. [UM8RA] Corp joined CH), -Mostly Harmless- [-42-] and other Northern Coalition forces with interest in the Cloud Ring, Pure Blind and Fade regions, DACO were able to weather the invasion.
The invasion finally came to a halt as internal conflicts within the HEX Coalition began to weaken the alliances involved, to the point where alliances were either absorbed by other members of the Coalition, fell apart or removed themselves from the conflict.
Once Cloud Ring settled down, internal problems in DACO came to the surface and with pressure from -MH- to merge with them DACO began to crumble from within. Some corps were asked to join -MH- others parted ways to join other alliances.
The first incarnation of Dara Cothrom came to an effective end when SL6 tired to get Triumvirate. [TRI] to do a smash and grab on the assets and stations under DACO's control before the corporations who were due to join -MH- did. However, TRI were not at that point in a position to take advantage of this and the same offer was given to Pandemic Legion [PL] and this was passed on by the leadership of PL to the CEO of The humble Crew [THC1], humbleThC, who promptly removed SL6 from DACO.
Dara Cothrom has now been reborn by 4 wing [LYNX] and are currently holding stations in the post CVA Providence.
