Back Story

Ever since Opiboble was a kid walking around the station listening to the Pilots talking of their latest encounters in space he wanted to go out there with them. At the age of 18 he signed up for the classes to become a "POD" Pilot, at that time he had no clue what to expect, like most others who were in his class.

After the first month of basic ship components and the physics of space, his class went in for the surgery that would brand them as "POD" pilots. It was a very painful procedure; they had to bore data jacks into the back of his skull and down his spine to his shoulder blades, it was a necessary operation to make his dream come true. 2 weeks later when the class was done with recovery 5% of the class was still partially paralyzed due to nerve damage in the spine when they were putting in the sensors. Opiboble was lucky his surgeon had done a great job and didn’t even leave scars around the data jacks speckled across Opiboble’s head and spine. After 3 weeks of spaceship integration exercises, takes a while getting used to your eyes being camera-drones and your body a ship, his class was graduated and everyone given 10k ISK and their first ships. Once the graduation ceremony was over Opiboble Inte ran to the POD facilities to get into the POD that would be is home for years to come.
