'''Taromi Umailen''' was a Caldari scientist who helped found [[Crielere]].

When the Labs were being shut down due to internal corruption and a lack of funding, Umailen, along with his [[Gallente]] counterpart Henric Touvolle, first made a plea for unity, then refused to abandon the project.

Umailen was kidnapped by the [[Guristas]] following a series of raids on the station. After several days, the scientists were sold to [[Aritcio Kor-Azor]]. [[President]] [[Souro Foiritan|Foiritan]] negotiated for his release, but a [[Minmatar]] [[slavery|slave]] managed to steal his identity and was released instead.

Umailen [[death|died]] in the sulfur mines of Inis-Ilix I from starvation. He was discovered some time after his death.
