As per this line:

The definition for evasion:

''the act or an instance of evading : escape''

The above sentence fits the context of the chronicle as they are evading the invasion from the Minmatar.

::Yes, that line, however the 'they' in that paragraph is the Elders' fleet and they were invading not evading, the evading didn't come until later after the super weapon weapon's deployment.
