'''Rek Jaiga''' is a pilot for the [[Teraa Matar (Player corporation)|Teraa Matar]] organization. Born on 22 May YC092 on [[Khankenirdia (System)|Khankenirdia]] II to Jotus Jaiga (father) and Krea Jaiga (mother). Records from the [[Ministry of Internal Order]] are not hard to find on Rek; he was born into slavery and served a minor [[Holder]], a Lord Lankaan, who owned agricultural estates on [[Khankenirdia (System)|Khankenirdia]] II. Exact details are harder to come by, but records indicate that Lankaan and his Holdings were destroyed in early YC110 after some sort of betrayal to the [[Ammatar Mandate|Mandate]] and [[Empire]], after which Rek drops off the grid.

Rek resurfaces some months later, this time in [[Republic]] records applying for enlistment in the [[Republic Fleet]]. Rek's stint with the Fleet would only last through basic training and a brief assignment aboard a [[Rupture]]-class [[cruiser]]; at some point he entered the [[capsuleer]] program and was licensed on August 2, YC111.
