[[Old_Man_Star|Old Man Star]] is a very dangerous [[Lowsec|lowsec]] system that borders the highsec system of [[Villore|Villore]].  Aside from a near-continual heavy [[Pirate|pirate]] presence, it is also a major battleground in the [[Factional_Warfare|war]] between the [[Caldari|Caldari State]] and [[Gallente|Gallente Federation]]. 
The system is a choke point in the [[Essence]] region, it provides one of the fastest routes from the regions high Security Space to the regions low security space. These traits combined have made the system a hot bed for [[PvP]] activities.

Rookie pilots are advised to avoid this system, though pilots seeking to prove their mettle will find no shortage of targets.
