==Summary==

Obsidian Fleet is primarily a combat based military fleet. We operate in 0.0 space. We are friendly and non-hostile
unless forced to be otherwise. Currently have an excellent command structure, a well
disciplined combat fleet as well as an effective [[Industrial|industrial]] fleet. The Obsidian Fleet
Command recognizes the importance of teamwork and communication during
operations. Therefore, there are frequently scheduled combat training and [[Mining|mining]]
operations to enhance fleet synchrony, teamwork and communication.

OBSIDIAN FLEET was formed on the 28th of February 2007 as a splinter group of the Freelance Federation [[Mining|Mining]] and Munitions [ffmm] following "the great betrayal". (due to treaty shall not be discussed)

Obsidian was formed as an elite military fleet whose goal was to directly combat [[Pirate|pirate]] threats in low security areas and aid younger pilots against [[Pirates|pirates]] and greifers.

On March 25th 2007 [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] ordered the securing of the Olietters corridor in the Sinq Laison region to allow more effective transit for Obsidian's allies in the area. The corridor was secured in less then one week and Obsidian allies took over security from that point.

During the weeks that followed Obsidian's fame spread and corporations joined with them to reach common goals.

May 8th 2007 Obsidian command agreed to secure a pocket of [[Low_Security_Space|low security space]] to serve as a haven for younger pilots and industrialists. They chose the Armi constellation and ordered the invasion to sieze control from the [[Pirate|pirate]] groups that held it. The war lasted 3 weeks and finally the [[Pirates|pirates]] gangs withdrew from the wreath and Obsidian's first haven was born.

On August 7th 2007 Obsidian formed the Equilibrium Haven Empire [HAVEN] to officiate the alliance that already existed amongst the allied corporations.

August 18th tragedy struck the young alliance; their leader [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] suffered a major accident and left Eve without warning. Without leadership and not knowing how to proceed with alliance operations, Haven fell into chaos and collapsed within the month. 

After several months without their leader Obsidian pilot began resigning from the [[Ranks|ranks]] until only a few remained.

After the turn of the new year [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] returned to Eve and ordered that OBSIDIAN FLEET be disbanded. The few pilots that remained joined Win-Tec which had been an allied with Obsidian since its creation.

During their time in Win-Tec the pilots of Obsidian fought alongside their friends in several wars and aided in all corporate events. During Win-Tec's time in Ka-Tet both Kadin Elysium and [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] earned honors for their involvement in the war with Dark Matter [[Coalition|Coalition]] [DMC]. 

On June 14th 2008, after the collapse of Ka-Tet, the former Obsidian pilots decided to reform OBSIDIAN FLEET and resume the life of anti-[[Pirates|pirates]].

Once the corp membership reached 20 The combat command chose the Eve constellation to form the second haven of Eve. 

Immediately after establishing control of the pocket the [[Pirate|pirate]] organization Chain of Chaos [NAWTI] numbering over 150 pilots began invading the area. OBSIDIAN FLEET fought for several weeks until reaching a stalemate with the invaders. After deciding that the war would not turn one way or the other [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] orders the complete Obsidian withdrawal from the Eve constellation.

After living in empire for several months the O.F.H.C. agrees that the corporation would need access to 0.0 space to aid in the progession of the fleet as a whole. Allying themselves with Foundation [fdn], Obsidain pilots began working in the Great Wildlands and aiding in its defence along side the allied forces of the region.
It was at this time that Obsidian began working with Ursa Stellar Initiative [USI] and eventually joined the alliance.

After a short time OBSIDIAN FLEET lead U.S.I. during U.S. timezones and headed up several military fleet operations.

After one of Obsidian's old rivals (due to treaty shall not be discussed) began attacking the small alliance, [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] ordered that OBSIDIAN FLEET withdraw from U.S.I. and combat the enemy directly without involving innocents.

After the mutual end of the war [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] ordered a complete restructuring of fleet. A new command structure was developed, an [[Industrial|industrial]] division was added, [[Intel|intel]] and internal security service was conscripted and a true stable home was picked out by the O.F.H.C.

In early winter the corporation joined into an alliance with a handful of other corporations which they named the "Arkai Confederation" [Arkai]. The corporation began to plan for greater and safer ways of making money to support their low sec. position.

Around the beginning of the new year the corp moved to a worm-hole system. The corporation has many members but one in particular is not with the corp anymore. [[Kajj_Mackallister|Kajj Mackallister]] left the corporation to become the ambassador and a high level advisor for Arkai around March. The person who took over the corporation was called Perseus Myrmidon, he took internal to a new level.

After a while Perseus Myrmidon resign his position CEO and control switched to L Power. Under his command the corporation continued to expand in the new worm-hole system.

The corporation continues to grow even today and still leads the Arkai Confederation.
