N'maro Makari is a Minmatar Vherokior capsuleer, author, academic and strategist. Previously signed on with the Murientor Tribe, Protocol Dark and his own Corporate Security company. Formerly Executive Officer and Chief Diplomat of the [https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/The%20Synenose%20Accord The Synenose Accord], he is now a freelancer with loyalty to the [[Minmatar Republic]].


==Background==

Records do not contain the exact name N'maro Makari, until an immigration document on the Vherokior Tribe public register. The name, a date of birth and the name of the presiding shaman at his naturalisation are the only public parts of the document. It is assumed that he was a migrant from the Matari diaspora in the Gallente Federation. That and the fact that the still fledgling Republic had a lacklustre civil service may explain the lack of information.

==Early Capsuleer Career==

Sponsored into the Republic Military School in YC112 by the government of the time. He is reported by staff to have been a high quality student, scoring high in both academic areas and [[capsuleer]] aptitude tests. After leaving the RMS he worked as a security contractor for the [[Brutor tribe]] before signing on with the Murientor Tribe and the [[Tribal Liberation Force]]. He participated in training defensive operations against the 24th Imperial Crusade and the State Protectorate.

Left the MURIE for reasons unknown, but subsequently joined Protocol Dark, which worked in conjunction with the [[Arek'Jaalan]] under CEO Alessandra Karris. This was somewhat shortlived however, as Karris died of unknown cause in early YC113 and her death was left relatively uninvestigated. Details of Protocol Dark's links with the former CEO Nikilaiki Ruutarhara and her research have never been disclosed.

Makari disbanded the corporation soon after Karris' death. He then opened a small security firm and resumed contract work for the Brutor Tribe and others. After a few months, he disbanded the comapny and enlisted in The Synenose Accord.


==The Synenose Accord==

After some months in the Accord, Makari was allowed into the SYNE Intel Team as a Special Investigative officer. His duites as a part of the team are unknown, but it is confirmed that SYNE sponsored his application to the University of Caille for a master's level degree. He has played a proactive part in the organisation of the 3rd Seyllin Conference. In late March YC114, Makari was promoted into the SYNE Directorate as Director of Public Relations by the new CEO, [http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Ninavask_(Character) Dr Ninavask Revan]. 

During his tenure, Makari oversaw reforms to SYNE's internal structure and external policies, as well as graduating with his master's degree. At the same time, he was promoted once again to Executive Officer (XO), making him second in command of the corporation under Dr Revan.

In his time as XO, he led several operations in high security space, and some in low-sec, null and WH space, notably the evacuation of SYNE's research outpost when it came under seige.

SYNE was mothballed in early 116, and thus Makari moved on, briefly serving in Gradient, before moving on to a nomadic lifestyle once again.

==Personal Life==


Makari is known for being tactical regarding details of his personal life. It is unknown if he has a family or a significant other of any kind.

==Political Positions==

Known to be (or at least has been) a strong supporter of a "Seven Tribe Republic", and in early days of capsuleer status, a vocal social commentator. Prior to his involvement in the war aganst Sansha's Nation, he could best be described as a Midularite in domestic policy, and a Shakorite in foreign policy. Has been quiet as of late, however, on most topics concerning contentious issues relating to the four empires, and often urges co-operation in [[Sansha]] related matters.

Makari largely views CONCORD as a means to an end. He beleives that some sort of Inter-Governmental Organisation is required to facilitate diplomacy between Empires who have deep running scars as reminders of their hostility to each other. As well as that, he cites firsthand experience of CONCORD's anti-Nation efforts (as well as the intransigence of the other four Empires) as evidence to the need for a point of unity in times of crisis. However, he maintains a policy of "caution" when the question of extra powers for CONCORD is raised. In his view, another empire is what CONCORD should avoid being at all costs.

==Academic Works==

Though an avid writer of academic papers, Makari has thus far only published one book; "Frozen: Emergence of the Interstellar Cold War", an indepth analysis of the effects of the Empyrean technology on the Interstellar political situation in YC 113. Various themes are examined, icluding the idea of capsuleers as "proxies", the mandate of CONCORD vs the mandate of empires to maintain their internal peace, and the effect (or lack of effect) of Nation incursions on cross-empire cooperation. The book is moderately successful in the Minmatar Republic, and has limited circulation amongst academic circles in other states. 

Makari also lectures occasionally at the Republic University. 

Although he himself has admitted he is no authority on works of fiction, he is an avid reader of the stories, legends, myths and fables of the Vherokior Tribe.
