Nate "MellowCat" Overseer is a reporter and a [[capsuleer]] recovered in 117YC from the station of !! so he can cover the open space where the news really was, he did start with the [[The Scope]] as a young teen. MellowCat moved to Orvolle VI - Moon 1 - The Scope - Development Studio, there he mop floors and took out the garbage. Then he was notice from a radio staion called [[Eve Radio]] where he DJ for living, then he had to head back to school, wanting more out of life.

==Background==

===YC 82  to 100 : Childhood===
Nickolas T. Shale is the only son of Violeta Shale an exotic dancer of mixed Khanid / Minmatar heritage, born in Ipref III. He spent his childhood travelling the stars onboard the pleasure cruise ''"Damsel of Love"'' where his mother worked. At the age of 16 Nickolas was employed as a janitor in the ''"Mephisto"'' mining barge, Procurer class where he worked for a couple years.

===YC 100 to 112 : Before Abduction===
After working himself up to Maintenance Supervisor aboard the ''"Mephisto"'', Nickolas took a position of Seaman with [[Khanid Transport]] aboard the ''“Patrician”'' industrial hauler ship Sigil-Class commissioned to the Caldari-Khanid Trade route. During his employment by Khanid Transport Nickolas achieve the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

In the evening of 112.05.13, a Sansha's Nation raiding fleet attacked [http://community.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=3885&tid=7  Umokka II and VIII ] simultaneously. During the raid an estimated 50,000 citizens were abducted from planet VIII and several vessels in the vicinity including the ''“Patrician”'' where Nickolas served. The ''“Patrician”'' crew was declared missing by [[CONCORD]] and counted among the abducted, Khanid Transport issue a statement of condolences to the families of the crewmen aboard the ''“Patrician”'' declaring the missing officially dead.

===YC 112 to 114 : True Slave===
Nickolas T. Shale was recovered in 114YC from the clone vats of class: Revenant RV5691 Mothership in Koona system at Kador region incursion. Little is known of the time with the Nation other than the designation of “Slave Shale309” of the battleship detachment 612. After the abduction the Nation assimilated Nickolas into the collective, installing mind control implants and cyber enhancements along with advanced capsuleer interface nodes. As part of the assimilation “Slave Shale309” was programed with space flight dynamics and several doctrines to facilitate spaceship command.

The Science department at the [[Hedion University]] acquired the remnants of the Mothership’s clone vats with several subjects still active. Slave Shale309 was in a state of coma from the destruction of the Mothership suffering severe burns and head trauma; it was admitted to an experimental program by the named “Free Mind” with the aim of rehabilitating [[True Slaves]] back into the community. The program had low rehabilitation success because of the psychological damage done by interfacing with the collective.

Nickolas recovered remarkable well after the removal of the implants regardless of his long time as a True Slave. The medical report shows that head trauma caused memory loss which aided his recovery; his memories of the time with the Nation seem to be limited, however he retained the capsuleer knowledge and combat skills. After months of physical and psychological rehabilitation in YC 114.03.01 he is released from the program and is issued a pilot license to work for the Hedion University as a capsuleer.

After fulfilling the commitment with the Hedion University, he was employed with the [https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/Southern%20Cross%20Empire Southern Cross Empire] providing combat support services in null security space. After the contract ended he did freelance work for the [[Ministry of War]] till he joined [https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/Incursion%20Squad Incursion Squad] to fight Sansha’s incursions into Amarr.

==Physical appearance==
Nickolas T. Shale has a tall burly built from his mixed heritage, notably Brutor from the mother side, dark skin, bold with amber eyes, good physical condition. The face has strong Khanid features from the father.
Nickolas has several scars, most notable the burn scar on the left side of the face, presumably from space combat during his time as [[True Slave]]. He exhibits exceptional endurance and increased muscular reflections from cyber enhancements implanted by the Nation.
