The 22nd is a [[Caldari|Caldari]] [[Factional_Warfare|Factional Warfare]] [[EVE Online]] corporation whose primary goal is to defend the region of Black Rise from the [[Gallente|Gallente]] militia, as well as securing other systems in low-sec for the Caldari State.

With more than 100 pilots, ranging from 2 week old pilots to EVE Beta testers, they are specialized in small group operations with a strong focus on complex [[PvP|pvp]] warfare.  The corp is very player friendly and accommodates several aspects of EVE to help make each players gaming experience very enjoyable.  The number one corp rule is "it's your $15", meaning nothing is mandatory, but group participation is highly encouraged.

Currently the 22nd is ranked as #7 for all time [[FW|FW]] corporations within the EVE [[FW|FW]] stats.  Consistantly the 22nd is ranked as #1 in victory points within [[FW|FW]], but rarely have a single member in the top rankings, which exemplifies their ability to work effectively as a team.  New members are expected to be able to leave [[High_Sec|high sec]] and be able to do daily operations within a hostile environment.  The code of honor is strictly enforced within the corp and all 1v1 agreements are always honored.  The current motto of the 22nd is "Death is the road to Awe".

=History=
After starting off as a strictly [[FW|FW]] corp a week after the war started, the 22nd began as a very small and humble corporation, with members who had not been previously connected.  

In October of 2008, the 22nd started to make it's first serious headway into [[Low_sec|low sec]] as a corp in gangs, defending plexes and engaging [[Gallente|Gallente]] war targets. While slowly growing in size as a corp, the 22nd  decided after helping resecuring  the few Black Rise systems under Gallenete control, they would start to make headway into [[Gallente|Gallente]] occupied regions of Palcid, Verge Vendor & Essences. Specifically a plan was put into place in late November to try and capture an entire region of [[Gallente|Gallente]] occupied space know as Verge Vendor.

With a successful capture of the Costolle system, news of the 22nd's victory spread and recruits started showing up in bunches from inside and outside of the [[Caldari|Caldari]] militia. As other systems in Verge Vendor fell , their acclaim grew and so did their numbers. Culminating 3 1/2 months later with the entire capture of Verge Vendor and over 100 pilots, up from the 40 in December. Solidifying them as one of the top [[FW|FW]] corps within the game.  

The 22nd works very closely with many of the [[FW|FW]] corps and continues to build a stronger more effective [[Caldari|Caldari]] Militia and looks forward to the time when all of the war zone falls under the occupancy of the State.

The 22nd left faction warfare just before Medals were handed out to Militia pilots in honor of all Gallente/Caldari FW systems being converted to Caldari occupancy, an effort in which the 22nd played a prominent role.

In June of 2009, the 22nd joined the "Balance of Judgement" alliance (the executor of which, interestingly enough, was the Dead Parrot Shoppe, a former Gallente FW corp. )

In September of 2009, the 22nd joined "Vertigo Coalition", led by Koth Fluff; Koth and his Corp led [[Morsus_Mihi|Morsus Mihi]] through [[Bob|Bob]]'s "Max" campaign, as well as the 2nd Great War.

=Past Operations=
Notable operations include the reclaiming of Black Rise from [[FOOM|FOOM]], setting new records of systems captured for the [[Caldari|Caldari]] milita by taking 7 systems at one weekend.  Also they were responsible, whith some help from some very close allies, on conquering 1/2 of an enemy region, which continues to reside under [[Caldari|Caldari]] control.  Current operations remain classified.
