Low security space is counted as any place with below a 0.5 rating and above a 0.1 rating.  Low security space is where the edges of [[Empire]] space meet [[0.0]].  It is the boundary between the lawful and the lawless.  It is also the most common place to find [[factional warfare]] battles and [[-10]] [[pirates]] roaming, looking for easy targets.

[[Security_Status|Security status]] limits your movement into [[Low_sec|low sec]] if you don't want to be targetable by everyone.  

    * Security below -2.0 = not in 1.0 sec systems
    * Security below -2.5 = not in 0.9 sec systems
    * Security below -3 = not in 0.8 sec systems
    * Security below -3.5 = not in 0.7 systems
    * Security below -4 = not in 0.6 systems
    * Security below -4.5 = not in 0.5 systems
    * -5 or below = Kill on sight in all empire.
